Braces

I just got braces yesterday. My mom and I went into the office and they called me back. When we got to the back they took me to a room that was covered in signatures and dates. All from people in the past that had gotten braces. I could even see a few people that I knew. The process for getting them on felt like it took hours. But it didn't. First they tried on bands around my back two molars on both top and bottom sides. Once they got them all on I was relieved. But then They told me they had to take them out and then put them back in with cement so they would stay. Before they put them back on though they had to put the braces on the front teeth. S they put cheek stretchers in my mouth and a little box that kept my tongue back. They had to vacuum out all the "liquid" from my mouth. Then they put th glue on my teeth and stuck the braces on. They had to hold the braces on my teeth for a little over a minute before they could let go. Those two minuets were the longest two minutes of my life. But afterwars they cemented the bands on then put the wires in. Then what do you know I had braces.
They told me all about how to clean them and how to take care of them. They also told me it would be sore for about three to four days. The told me that the second day I had them would be the worst. So far I belive them. it's the morning of the second day and I can tell I'm not going to like today. I could barely chew anything yesterday because I got bite stoppers. These do just what the name says: stops my bite. I got these because I have to much of an overbite and they were afraid that when I start biting down my top teeth will knock off the braces on my bottom teeth.
OK now you know all about my mouth. I have to wear them for about two years so hopefully everyone will be able to see them sometime. Bye!

Ollie

Hey!!! I got a new blog!!! Well hopefully you have realized that by now. You don't have to bother going to my other blog now because I'm never going to post there ever again. So... WELCOME I guess.
OK passed the intro this passed year in enrichment we have been working on personal projects. I decided to do mine on blue ringed octopodes. Turns out by the way octopus plural could be:
#1 octopuses
#2 octopi
#3 octopodes (my favorite)
Cool right? But anyway back to the blue ringed octopus. So I decided to get creative with my project. So what I did was I made a paper mache octopus. Here's how i did it. 1st I blew up 8 noodle balloons the 1 round balloon. For the tenticals and head. 2nd Imade a paste out of cooking flour and water mixed together. 3rd I used the paste to stick strips of newspaper to the balloon so when it collapses the balloon will maintain the shape. 4th I painted all the pieces yellow with blue, black, and brown rings. 5th and finally I hot glued the tenticals on to the body. PRESTO!!! I finished my octopus. I decided to name my octopus Ollie. I'm not bring him home until schools out though. But I will try to post a picture as soon as I can. By the way only 81/2 days of school left!!!!
